God Can Hear Me Too

Children are often surrounded by faith, attending church with their families, participating in Christmas plays, singing in children's choirs, and listening to sermons. Yet many quietly wonder a question they never ask aloud:

"Is God talking to me too?"

Without intentional conversations, children can mistakenly believe that God's love, forgiveness, the power of prayer, and a personal relationship with Him are blessings reserved for adults. The truth is, God has always desired a relationship with children.

As a little girl, Pastor Tena vividly remembers sitting in church with her feet dangling from the pew, listening to the preacher and wondering if the message included her. At just nine years old, she walked to the altar and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Although she experienced the joy of that decision, she also wondered whether the adults around her would take her faith seriously.

Today, as a pastor, she looks back and recognizes that God took that moment very seriously. Her childhood decision was genuine, purposeful, and the beginning of a lifelong journey with Christ.

Years later, watching her young niece eagerly run to children's church reminded her of that same longing she once felt. It became the inspiration for God Can Hear Me Too—a book created to help children understand that they are never too young to know God, pray with confidence, hear His voice, or experience His love.
